BRITS & BOSSA - The Music of the Beatles and Brasil is an innovative musical performance featuring two of the world's most sophisticated and popular musical cultures -

the British Invasion & Tropicália.

 

From classic, romantic Beatles ballads like YESTERDAY and sexy Brazilian bossa novas like Antonio Carlos Jobims’ GIRL FROM IPANEMA, to raucous rockers like DRIVE MY CAR and swinging sambas like Sergio Mendes’ MAS QUE NADA, the performance is filled with memorable melodies and infectious beats. 

 

The evening takes the audience on a musical journey - from London to New York to Rio de Janeiro - through authentic storytelling and visually captivating projections. 

 

The show is created and presented by Broadway veteran of multiple Tony award winning shows Manny Moreira. A long time NYC resident and studio musician, his skills can be heard on a wide range of recordings including albums by jazz icon Gerry Mulligan, the soundtrack of the worldwide television sensation DORA THE EXPLORER and the grammy award winning show album of  IN THE HEIGHTS with Lin-Manuel Miranda. 

 

Complimenting his compelling guitar work and vocals are a backing band of stellar, world-class musicians and the haunting, silken voice of lovely and talented newcomer, Lou Wilkin. The beautiful blend of their voices is praised by fans of the duo and their genuine rapport puts the audience at ease for a wondrous evening's entertainment.
